Negroni 2013 Bottling Note

This is a stunning handmade, vintage bottle Negroni Cocktail from The Handmade Cocktail Company. It was mixed in 2013 to a recipe containing premium-strength English copper pot-still gin, the finest sweet vermouth and Campari and Aperol. It was made in tiny batches.

The concept of the ‘Vintage Cocktail’ range is simple – you get all the ingredients for a superb cocktail pre-mixed, all you have to do is pour it over ice, stir, then strain off into your glass and garnish (in this instance with a healthy slice of fresh orange). Each bottle carries a stamp showing its year of manufacture.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Slightly herbal, woody aromas. Notes of lemon peel, orange essential oils, a touch of juniper.

Palate: Spiced palate entry with a clean delivery of juniper, followed by sweet, spicy, herbal vermouth. A little cassia.

Finish: Bittersweet finish with notes of juniper, dried herbs and fruit.

Overall: Stunning stuff - the very best way of enjoying a perfect Negroni!
