Fernet-Vittone 1960 50cl Bottling Note

Fernet is a wonderful Italian bitter, obtained by infusing more than 40 ingredients, including myrrh, aloe, saffron, rhubarb and chamomile. This is a rare bottling from the 1960s.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Lots of exotic spice, notably saffron and chamomile, on the nose followed by a fruitier edge.

Palate: Delicately spiced with a little rhubarb emerging.

Finish: The finish peters out with gentle spice and stewed fruits.

Overall: An excellent vermouth from the 1960s.
