Named for the address of Compass Box’s Edinburgh offices, Great King Street is a new range of highly approachable whiskies which are aimed at not just whisky connoisseurs, but at non-whisky drinkers and cocktail drinkers as well. This is the first edition, named Artist’s Blend. It’s a rich, full-bodied whisky with lots of fruit and spice.
Compass Box's delicious Spice Tree was briefly illegitimate, according to SWA regulations. After adjusting its creation, Spice Tree is back, and better than ever. It's a blended malt made from Highland malt whiskies, aged in specially made casks with new French oak heads.
A delightful blended grain whisky, Hedonism really is as enjoyable as the name suggests, a smooth and creamy offering from Compass Box.
A peaty offering and a vatted malt created by the renowned John Glaser, of Compass Box. The Peat Monster contains whisky from secret distilleries (all very cloak and dagger). They can tell us that some was from the village of Port Askaig in Islay, with some south coast Islay whisky too, vatted with Ardmore. This was matured in a mix of first fill and refill American oak casks.
One of the best whisky liqueurs we've ever tried! This Compass Box classic is flavoured with Sri Lankan Cloves, Indonesian Cassia bark and hand-zested Navalino oranges. Orangerie has sublime balance and a beautiful zesty flavour.
A great selection of Compass Box's greatest hits, including the sweet, creamy blended grain Hedonism, the smoky Peat Monster, their classic blend Asyla and the blended malt Oak Cross.
This whisky was released by Compass Box to mark the change in the Scotch Whisky Regulations of 2009, that after the 22nd November 2011 blends of single malt whiskies may no longer be labelled as Vatted malts, instead they must be called Blended Malts. This is made with a 35 year old Speyside malt and a 26 year old Islay. A delicious whisky!
A great blended malt from Compass Box. This was specially crafted by John Glaser, the whisky zealot. It contains highland single malts like Teaninich and secret malts from the villages of Carron and Brora.
A blended Scotch whisky. Asyla was named for the plural of asylum, this is a thick, fruity offering from Compass Box.
The Canto Cask Range is a first for Compass Box: a range of 16 single cask, cask-strength Scotch malt whiskies. Each cask held the same malt whisky, but for the last 18 months the whiskies were aged on a range of different new oaks, both French and American, in a variety of different toasts. Number 48 used a heavily toasted French oak cask.
A wonderful blended whisky from Compass Box, 76% of Double Single is 18 year old Glen Elgin and 24% is 21 year old Port Dundas. They release just 876 bottles of this, and it even comes in a perspex display case, so it feels almost like a museum piece - which is nice.

Illegal? Let us explain… when the award-winning Spice Tree was first launched back in 2005, the Scottish Whisky Association (SWA) decided the practice of using new oak staves in the finishing process was against The Rules, and threatened to take Compass Box to court unless the company stopped making their popular blend. To cut a long story short, the process was modified, Spice Tree was resurrected in 2009, and there was much rejoicing. But here we have an original bottle of illegal Spice Tree to give away as a prize… keep it under your hat.
Number 20 is strikingly different from 48; it was finished in medium-toasted American Oak, and the effect has produced a very different whisky to the heavily toasted French oak matured 48.
