Rob Roy 2013 Bottling Note

This is a 2013 vintage cocktail from The Handmade Cocktail Company, made to a classic Rob Roy recipe using sherry-matured Speyside single malt, three vermouths and some top-notch bitters.

The concept of the ‘Vintage Cocktail’ range is simple – you get all the ingredients for a superb cocktail pre-mixed, all you have to do is pour it over ice, stir, then strain off into your glass and garnish (in this instance with a Maraschino Cherry of course). Each bottle carries a stamp showing its year of manufacture.

Top cocktail bars have served their own versions of Vintage Rob Roys and Manhattans for many years (going as far as to offer cocktails bottled in many different years) – you can now enjoy one in the comfort of your own home!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet, malty nose. Hints of juicy sultanas, morello cherry and dried peels. Very fruity and intense. Hints of bittersweet herbs and orange.

Palate: Thick and full-bodied with juicy, rich fruit, bittersweet. Woody and thick with a core of Corinth raisins and hints of chocolate malt. Herbal.

Finish: Long, herbal finish. Juicy and thick.

Overall: A perfectly balanced 2013 vintage Rob Roy!
