Extreme Islay Tasting
In the build up to Feis Ile (the Islay Festival), we’re spending an evening exploring what is perhaps the most revered whisky region in the world. Legendary for its intensely peaty whiskies, Islay produces extreme malts with real provenance. During this extraordinary tasting, we’ll try a selection of astonishing drams that will blow you away. We’ll sample rare, single cask whiskies from Caol Ila and Bowmore, a highly collectable small batch malt from Kilchoman (Islay’s newest and youngest distillery), a big-bodied, sherry-matured Bunnahabhain, and an incredibly peaty Ardbeg!
Our tastings are designed to appeal to all levels of whisky consumer, from those who know literally nothing about whisky, to the seasoned veteran. The session will combine historical facts, information about the production and maturation of each whisky, and give an insight into how the professionals go about nosing and tasting each dram.
As if this wasn’t enough, each tasting we run has an element of added value, examples include food-pairing, beer matching, and even cocktail recipes!
This is a small tasting at our Tunbridge Wells Town Centre offices (2 minutes’ walk from the train station) and there are just 16 tickets, so hurry!
