Islay Whisky Samples

Islay is home to a stunning variety of single malt whisky distilleries. From the south of the island come some of Scotland's most peaty whiskies, from distilleries including Ardbeg, Lagavulin, Laphroaig and the legendary Port Ellen. Further up lies the smoky, coastal-influenced Bowmore, the unusually varied whisky from Bruichladdich, the oily smoky malt from Caol Ila to the north, and Bunnahabhain with its fruity, gentle malts. The island is also now home to a new distillery named Kilchoman, which produces rich, peaty whiskies using the methods of the ancient Scotch distilleries.
