Grain Whisky Samples

Scotch grain whisky is whisky distilled from either wheat, corn, rye or barley, as opposed to being distilled exclusively from malted barley. These whiskies tend to be less rich and flavoursome than their malt-based counterparts, and are often distilled in continuous column stills, instead of copper pot stills which are used to make single malts. Typically Grain Whiskies are considerably lighter, though there are notable examples of complex and very fine grain whiskies out there.
