Awards for Wood's Navy Rum

Wood's Navy Rum
A Demerara rum distilled from sugar cane grown in Guyana, blended in the style of old navy rums. Woods is a pot still rum and the packaging has been the same for fifty years.
The nose is sweet and rich with notes of winter spice, butterscotch, pepper, wood and Demerara. The palate is full and rich with winter spice and vanilla cream. There are notes of molasses and Demerara with a syrupy mouthfeel. The finish is long and sweet

Just as in JUST topped, in my very humble opinion, by Pussers blue. Mind tomorrow my opinion might change. Always. Both in the cupboard. Woods is so lovely and dark, so rich looking. Christmas without it is inconceivable. My grandfather's Christmas favourite, had me sampling it when knee high, in his honour I will be having a glass or two on the 25th.

First found in a nasty little backstreet bar in Vancouver, BC, I have been searching for this wonderful ambrosia since 1975. Thought it had a gold label, but like orange squash, things change...
