Mocambo 20YO #108
Single cask rum is always a treat for the nose and the taste buds, but these Mocambo 20 Year Old rums, presented in bottles designed by Victor Fernández, are a treat for the eyes too. The rum itself was produced in Cordoba, Mexico and is aged in European white oak - this edition came from cask 108. To design the bottles, Victor Fernández uses natural bark fibres, taking inspiration from traditional craft techniques. No two bottles are alike, all their own bespoke pieces of art.

Tasting notes, please...
A very unusual rum...
I'm curious as to the differences between the different casks (I think you list at least two).

A very unusual rum ~ perhaps the most savoury rum I've tried yet with dry flavours - words to describe it like woody, smoky, leathery or tobacco are apt.
Its very difficult to compare but if you like El Dorado 15 or Pussers 15, Mocambo 20 is a step beyond that & for you might be worth a punt.
I do enjoy a sipping rum often but I don't drink this often ~ be assured even if you like it, this bottle would probably last you a while.
