I first discovered Stags Breath when I was in the 82nd Airborne stationed at Ft. Bragg back in '96. One of my friends had just returned from a tour in the UK. We were at an SCA fighters tournament sitting around a camp fire when Randy pulled out his last bottle of Whisky. Everyone one of us at that camp fire was asking the question "That is F***ing awesome, where can we get more?" Randy's response was very short "Newtonmore, Highland Region" After some bickering Randy explained that the Scotch was not exported out of the Scottish town of Newtonmore it was made in. We then began a campaign to acquire more. From 1996-2012 anytime we had a friend in transit through the UK we forced them to make a trip to Newtonmore and pick up as much Stags Breath as they could transport back to the US. I am glad to see they have expanded the operation and are now exporting.

I came across this ambrosia when visiting my daughter who was an exchange student at the University of Edinburgh in 2010. It was one of the highlights of my visit! Smooth, easy to drink, and flavorful, it quickly became a favorite when I discovered it in the bar in Edinburgh's Hotel du Vin. Well worth a try! I have been unable to find it in America, so I am grateful for the international shipping provided by Masters of Malt!

Who are these people giving praise to this, its awful. My wife always says I will drink anything with alcohol in it but I think I have met my match with this. It simply tastes like watered down honey. If whisky could go off I would think that's what has happened.

Best whiskey I have ever tasted. Even if you are not a whiskey drinker, give it a try, I think you'll be pleasantly suprised just how smooth it is.

I love whisky neat or with ginger wine but for an after dinner tipple Stags breath is the bees knees! Truly delicious, I love it! You would think the honey would make it too sweet but the taste is spot on! I would recommend to anyone, try it,you will love it!
