Evan Williams Honey Reserve

Pure acacia honey aromas. Slightly sweet and floral with ginger and tangerine over riding any Bourbon character, although it does come back with hints of vanilla, coffee and liquorice. The palate is very sweet. A mixture of acacia and natural opaque honey. Mouth coating and candied with hints of tangerine and violets. The spirit however doesn’t come through enough to balance the confected character and as such the finish is a bit cloying. Maybe an extra 5% abv might have helped.
