Chartreuse Yellow Liqueur Bottling Note

Chartreuse is a French liqueur originallu made by Carthusian monks using distilled spirit and 130 herbal extracts in the 1740s. The liqueur comes in two colours: green - where the colour is obtained from the chlorophyll of the plants used to flavour the drink; and yellow which is a sweeter style. This is the sweeter yellow Chartreuse liqueur and believe it or not the colour is natural!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Cardamom, liquorish, sage and thyme; as part of a sweet and herbal aroma with a vegetal edge.

Palate: Floral and peppery, thyme, fennel and mixed spice.

Finish: Quite floral, with a sweet liquorish.
