1897

Brothers John and Edward Hopkin and their cousin Edward Broughton found the distillery through John Hopkin & Co. They already own Tobermory. The architect is Charles Doig. Building the distillery costs £17,000 and the distillery is transferred to Speyburn-Glenlivet Distillery Company.

1916

Distillers Company Limited (DCL) acquires John Hopkin & Co. and the distillery.

1930

Production stops.

1934

Productions restarts.

1962

Speyburn is transferred to Scottish Malt Distillers (SMD).

1968

Drum maltings closes.

1991

Inver House Distillers buys Speyburn.

1992

A 10 year old is launched as a replacement for the 12 year old in the

2001

Pacific Spirits (Great Oriole Group) buys Inver House for $85 million.

2005

A 25 year old Solera is released.

2006

InverHouse changes owner when International Beverage Holdings acquires Pacific Spirits UK.
