1876
John Duff, former manager at Glendronach Distillery, founds the distillery. Alexander Grigor Allan (to become part-owner of Talisker Distillery), the whisky trader George Thomson and Charles Shirres (both will co-found Longmorn Distillery some 20 years later with John Duff) and H. Mackay are also involved in the company.
1895
The company Glenlossie-Glenlivet Distillery Co. is formed. Alexander Grigor Allan passes away.
1896
John Duff becomes more involved in Longmorn and Mackay takes over management of Glenlossie.
1919
Distillers Company Limited (DCL) takes over the company.
1929
A fire breaks out and causes considerable damage.
1930
DCL transfers operations to Scottish Malt Distillers (SMD).
1962
Stills are increased from four to six.
1971
Another distillery, Mannochmore, is constructed by SMD on the premises. A dark grains plant is installed.
1990
A 10 year old is launched in the Flora & Fauna series.
