William Paul founds Kilnflat Distillery. Official production starts in 1829.
1870
Kilnflat distillery closes.
1878
The distillery reopens under the name Glenburgie-Glenlivet, Charles Hay is licensee.
1884
Alexander Fraser & Co. takes over.
1925
Alexander Fraser & Co. goes bankrupt and the receiver Donald Mustad assumes control of operations.
1927
James & George Stodart Ltd buys the distillery which by this time is inactive.
1930
Hiram Walker buys 60% of James & George Stodart Ltd.
1936
Hiram Walker buys Glenburgie Distillery in October. Production restarts.
1958
Lomond stills are installed producing a single malt, Glencraig. Floor malting ceases.
1981
The Lomond stills are replaced by conventional stills.
1987
Allied Lyons buys Hiram Walker.
2002
A 15 year old is released.
2004
A £4.3 million refurbishment and reconstruction takes place.
2005
Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard) become new owners through the acquisition of Allied Domecq.
2006
The number of stills are increased from four to six in May.
