A weavery from 1785 is transformed into Deanston Distillery by James Finlay & Co. and Brodie Hepburn Ltd (Deanston Distillery Co.). Brodie Hepburn also runs Tullibardine Distillery.
Production commences in October.
The first single malt is named Old Bannockburn.
Invergordon Distillers takes over.
The first single malt bearing the name Deanston is produced.

Burn Stewart Distillers from Glasgow buys the distillery for £2.1 million.
