The Bolivar brand was founded in either 1901 or 1902 by José F. Rocha. It might even have been founded in the UK, and the marque was not registered in Havana until 1921. In 1954, after Rocha’s death, Bolivar production was moved to the famous Partagas factory and it... was after this time that the company began to gain widespread popularity. Bolivar famously made the world’s smallest cigar, the “Delgado” (or “thin”), which measure 1 7/8” x 20 ring gauge. In fact, a miniature box of Bolivar cigars can be found in the Royal Nursery’s dollhouse at Windsor Castle! These days, it is the phenomenal strength and body of Bolivar cigars that cigar aficionada find most endearing, and its robust Belicoso Finos and Coronas Junior are legends in the cigar community.
