Grain Whiskey in Ireland is distilled from one or more of the following: corn, wheat, rye and barley. It may be produced in any kind of still, though it is typically distilled in a Continuous Column Still. This is, by far, the cheapest and most efficient way to produce... spirit, however it is often much less complex than the Pot-distilled Malt Whiskey, distilled solely from malted barley. Considerable care and knowledge must therefore be employed to create enjoyable, flavoursome Irish grain whiskeys, and there are several excellent ones to choose from.
