Pol Roger had a long and succesful association with Sir Winston Churchill - such was their affinity that after Churchill's sad death in 1965, Pol Roger put a black border around all bottles of their Brut shipped to the UK. Fact Hunt - the only ever non-standard sized bottle of Champagne officially produced by any house was a pint-sized bottle shipped to Sir Winston for him to enjoy with his breakfast. 90 years old when he died, Sir Winston. 90. There's hope for all of us.

A Proud Tradition from the maker of best value Premium Champagnes.

I thought the 1998 Pol SWC was good, great nose and fine taste, BUT the 1999 is even better !! Just a wonderful drink whether sharing with (and impressing your friends) or having a decadent drink and massage with your favourite gal. Fine vintage Champagne (POL R or Krug) is the greatest aphrodisiac massage oil in the world ;). Kudos Pol Roger, all class !!
