25 Year Old Whisky

Twenty-five (25) Year Old Whisky is gloriously well-aged and rather rare. This 25 year old whisky has spent a minimum of twenty-five long years quietly maturing in oak casks, losing a little of its alcoholic content to the Angel’s Share.

Twenty-five years in oak proffers superb maturity and many of the natural flavours in the oak are imparted into the whisky. At 25, the whisky is often very rounded and balanced. Traditionally, 25 is the age at which your car insurance premiums drop, certainly a time to celebrate with a fine twenty-five year old whisky.

Sadly, in 1986, Metallica’s famed bass player Cliff Burton passed away. Metallica certainly enjoyed their whiskey, and once covered the Thin Lizzy classic, Whiskey in the Jar.

Voyager completed the first ever nonstop circumnavigation of the Earth in December of 1986. Some of the folks at Nasa probably enjoy whisky, possibly the same folks who mixed up metric and imperial units and made the legendary fluff up of losing a 125 million dollar Mars orbiter. Classic stuff.
