Whisky is matured in a range of oaks, from the American and European to the more unusual Truffle and Burr oak. Oak is of key importance in whisky, for it imparts such flavour, and even proffers the cork. Many of our whiskies have spent a good quantity of time in oak, including our 21 year old whiskies. 21, the age at which Americans can legally sample a fine whisky, the age at which you can get into a fine London discotheque, it is an age of great importance. There's a whole world of whisky out there, why not sample one of our Campbeltown whiskies. Once Campbeltown was home to over twenty distilleries, though now just three remain. These are a mix of dryness, a little smoke, with a coastal character.
