The nose is sweet with Demerara and molasses, spice and pepper and plenty of oak. The palate is dry with oak and spice, a little brown sugar sweetness and spice. The finish is spicy and woody.
Drink this in Australia when I go. If you have to mix it use ginger beer for a "Dark and Stormy".

Rum for people who don't really like rum. Smells like a cheap whiskey and tastes even worse. Atrocious crap

if you're local don't have then move house. this stuff made by the true Cane cutter up north who are the hardest people in the country. this is a hard drink for a hard man and only softies can't handle it. next time you're in straya by a bottle and sip it while looking over at the sunset.

Like most Australian "beer", which needs to be near freezing point to be palatable, this concoction NEEDS a mixer. Truly awful neat, so don't bother!!

Asked for some neat on a Quantas flight. Was asked if I was really sure I wanted it neat - I did, as I'd never tried it before. After one deeply unpleasant sip I went back for the coke.

In regards to rums, this is one of a kind. It's not flash, nor does it have the prestige if pusser's or other 'premium' rums but it is one of the best. Like most thing out of Australia, it's not as refinded as it competitors but it's a whole lot more fun!
